first you need to have already established with your dog that you are head of the pack. once you put your dog's food bowl down, will she still let you pet her?? can you move her dish while she is eating?? if not then she still views you as at best her equal or worst just some hunter in her pack. once your dog establishes that you are absolute leader then she will follow your lead. period. if you bring another dog to her that you pet and play with first, then she will accept this dog. you cannot sit back and let her go first, that is for the leader to do to determine if this other dog is worthy of the pack.

Be gradual with her socialization. It's possible that you won't be able to get her to be friendly, but you can try gradually. I don't know how you could get another dog, but try and make sure the other dog is very calm, friendly, and will obey commands, so that you know the other dog won't lash out. First bring the other dog around her with having the other dog in a cage. That way she knows it's there but she is still in power by being the free one and the other dog will stay put while she can examine it. After she seems ok with this, try having both her and the other dog on leashes. Then after that hopefully you can move to her being free with other dogs. Good luck!

You need to watch "The Dog Whisperer" on the Discovery Channel. This guy goes around and shows people how to deal with problems with their dogs. I've seen your case a thousand times. Watch it!
