dog treats

I would like to know what ingredients in pet dog treats (and dog biscuits) are bad, harmful, and unhealthy for dogs, so I can avoid buying.
If contains minimal sugar/salt, is that alright?

I would mostly stay away from bi products just like you would with their normal food. Rawhides are def. a no no unless they are too big for them to either swallow or splinter off peices from. We have our boxer siked out because he gets his dog food as a treat too-he doesn’t know the difference, he only knows he’s been a good boy and gets special attention.

A few things to make sure your dog stays clear of though:
Grapes/Raisins-very critical, as many as 7 can cause kidney failure and death-MORE POISENOUS THAN ANTIFREEZE!!!!
Onion/Onion powder-very dangerous as it causes anemia
I have a huge list of things dogs aren’t supposed to consume and what effects it can have..let me know if you want it…

I have an allergy dog, and I found a website that has lots of freeze dried and dehydrated single ingredient treats. My dog loves the bullstix, achilles tendons, cod nuggets, minnows, venison jerky, and venison lung. Check out for great, healthy treats for dogs & cats.
