Just to let you know:
Alcohol used to kill germs on something takes 15 mins. soaking time.

boil it to kill off the germs, then scrub it with a lot of soap and warm water. That should clean it off, that's how i clean my dog's toys when her dog friend's come to visit and play with her toys.

OK, Millerman is just sick. What you need to do is take the toy and soak it in some Hydrogen Peroxide to kill any germs on it. Then you can just wash it off with warm soapy water to remove the peroxide(this is so the peroxide doesn't dry it out, or leave a white residue on the toy). Then, give him his toy, and let him have a ball. Try to keep the lid closed in the future though. Good luck.

Wash with very hot water. Still worried? Take a deep bowl or bucket and put it in hot water that covers it completely and add a capful fo bleach. Let is soak for about 15 minutes and then rinse WELL with more running hot hot water. Let dry, give back to the dog.
