my dog likes to lift his leg on my couch, bad habit i casnt break him of.tried to use all different kinds of carpet cleaner but doesnt get a rid of that aweful smell.can any one help please?
Is the dog neutered??? If not that would help. Obedience classes would be a good idea also. There are many training methods to treat this very problem. Call your vet and get the number of a local obedience instructor.
As someone mentioned above, Nature’s Miracle is a really great enzymatic product that was formulated especially for urine stains and smells. The best thing would be to dilute the urine out with water a few times and then liberally apply the Nature’s Miracle.
In the meanwhile, it would probably be a good idea to put a belly band on your dog. You can buy them at any pet shop - they simply velcro around the dog’s waist and are fitted with super absorbent pads. They’ll stop the urine from getting on your possessions, and the belly band seems to discourage the dog from peeing while it’s on. Just don’t forget to remove it when you let him outside - you laugh, but it’s happened to me at least once with our dog!
Try 1 more cleaner. It should be at your local pet store. It is called Oxy Solution and the brand is Simple solutions. I have 2 puppies and use it all the time.

Encase his manhood in midieval armor, coat the whole area with tinfoil, connect electrodes, sit back and watch.

Warm salt water will clean any stain out.Once the stain is out any good carpet freshener will take care of the smell
