They sell lots of stuffed dogs at the toy store or walmart. Best thing is to rescue a dog from a shelter.

What do you expect people here to do? Hand one to you through the computer screen?

You may say you are “ready for the responsibility” but if you are trying to be cheap then you are not. The initial cost of any dog is nothing — it’s the MAINTENANCE that costs!

So you already have a dog. What’s wrong with loving and taking care of that one? By the way, when was the last time he/she went to the vet for his/her annual checkup? When was the last time his/her teeth were cleaned? I’ll bet if you’re looking for something cheap that you can’t even take care of what you have, let alone take on more!

It is your pet’s RIGHT BY LAW to receive proper care and to deny it is abuse. Take care of the dog you have now first.

It is very possible to get a dog that is under $250. Look at Petfinder.com.
Go to your local Humane Society. It costs anywhere from $45-89.00. And you save a life.
Also go to to the pound and give a dog a second chance at life.
Or go to your city’s newspaper website or your local newspaper. They have many many dogs from people who live in your city that want to give away a dog for free or for a price ranging from $50-$1,000. They have all types of dogs.

*The Humane Society would be a good idea, i just got a puppy from my local SPCA(Humane Society) and it costs only 89.00 dollars and it includes, a collar, tag, vaccines, a month of pet insurance, flea treatment, a bag of dogfood, and spay/neutering surgery.

Also if you go to the Humane Society and only spend the $89.00 or so on getting a dog. You can donate the remainder $161 (if you spend $250 or even $11.00 if you want to spend 100 dollars–any donation helps!!) to the shelter. They survive on donations and do not get money from the government. So save a life and donate your money and help other animals as well!!
