When setting up your dog supplies?

Ok so I am getting a new dog 1 of these (Yorkie, Pom, or Maltese)
and I need to train it to poop and pee indoors on puppy pads… Should I buy a litter box and place the puppy pad in the box or should I just place the puppy pad on the floor?

Since it’s such a small dog I would do the puppy pad in litter box, it would be a little easier and may keep the pup from shredding the pads

We just placed ours on the floor, and it worked fine. Have fun, and good luck!

If you are doing a litter box, they make litter especially for dogs, so you could just litter train the dog, and than not have to worry about taking it outside to potty.

you can buy those puppy toilets (have lawn that you can replace and skirt) apparently they work great but they arent cheap. I tried puppy pads and didnt really have much success. I now have a bath mat that gets washed and replaced (cheap ones) that they use really well. good luck. buy a mop too
