if u own/owned a dog kennels or cattery what kind of questions would u put on a questionaire for the dog/cat owner to answer about their pet before going into your care?

Does your cat/dog have any dislikes( my cat hated men and went for the owners husband when he went into feed him.I did warn them though)

As a user of such places I would be impressed if they asked about the character of the animal, I have a nervous cat and they never want to know and consequently they end up being scratched. Also I think they should as about likes and dislikes, as well as medical information.

Does it have fleas, has it had a kennel cough injection. Is it current on all shots. When I had my kennel If it had fleas it was bathed and dipped as soon as it showed up at the owners expense. If they had not had a shot record or kennel cough it was not allowed to stay. Also make sure they have their tags. Dog Law in PA will fine the owners if they come and the dog does not have it’s tags. Saves you the headache of the owner blaming you. Also always let the customers see your facility if they want before the animal stays. Another question pertains more to dogs, How Big is the animal, what breed is the animal. Alot of places will not take certain breeds or sizes. Does your animal require any medcation.

Is the dog up to date on its shots including bordetella?
Is the dog animal/people aggressive?
Is the animal on flea control or have fleas?
If its a cat…same things but make sure you ask if it has claws.

Is it up to date with all its injections including the one for kennel cough, a lot of kennels never ask that question and all it takes is one dog to bring it in to the kennels and the whole lot get it and its pretty bad for some dogs to get rid of too.

first and foremost..vaccinations..ages..names breeds..have they been in a kennels before..general temperamnet..what food do they eat..any routine you would like us to stick too…do you want to come and see the kennels first before you book them in?these are the major ones…aswell as any medications etc
