Dog Questions

I have a female 9 year old staffordshire bull terrier of medium build who has been neutered and had all relevant vaccines. I love my dog very much and it would only be for a short time as I have been forced to move house and i am not allowed to have a dog where i reside at present but it is quite possible that by January/February I could have a place that will allow dogs.

If you can help please let me know!

I need to find a place that sells indoor dog kennels suitable for a dog rescue/shelter. I am having a hard time finding a site.

need out door housing for my cats as i am a charity and my intake over growing help please

Should I use hay? I have two rottweilers. Let me know please. I found someone selling hay but I don’t wanna ask them it might make me look like an idiot this might be something everyone but me knows. Thanks for reading.

Are they suppose to remit sales tax to the state they operate in for the puppies that have been sold?

My mum is thinking of putting my dog in the kennels for a couple of days when we go away. My dog loves being with other dogs soo she thinks my dog will like it, But im just worried she will hate it. Does your dog like being in the kennels? Im thinking of taking her down there for the day and see if she likes it. Has anyone ever had kennel problems?

Also just to let you no what dog she is, shes a staff.

I want to go to New York for christmas 2009 but i have two dogs.

Does anyone have any experience with the dog kennels, I get nervous & I want to make sure my animals are in a safe enviorment.

Maybe some kind of consumer watchdog group for disreputable pet breeders?? If not online, where is this kind of information available?

My dog is very large and can be a handful when being walkedby someone he does not know. I need a kennels where they would understand his needs.

Does he get bad habbits with his toilet training? My dog is fully house trained (crate trained) and he sleeps in his crate at night. If iput him into kennels do you think will he start going to the toilet in his own crate when he is back home? Has anyone experienced this? Many thanks in advance.
HI Guys, it will be for 2 weeks (next year!). The kennel i have checked is recommended and very clean, they walk dogs first thing, play time in afternoon and run around early evening and then bed.

Im going to be gone from 5/24-6/20 and im bringing my baby with me. I already made arrangements. But i looked on ebay and they were all mesh. I even looked at petsmart.com all mesh.

And I know i need a plastic type of kennel. I have flown many times, but with my father when we went to diffrent countries and he took care of the animal part. And i havent flown in about a couple years without dobermans, so I kind of forgot what i need to do. .

But think it’s ok for breeders to keep their dogs in kennels

I would like a place where my dog can run around w/ other dogs during the day and possibly have a private place to sleep at night. Not too pricey-$40 or under per night.

I’m planning to be in the Boston Area (North Attleboro, to be precise) for the 4th of July weekend and was hoping to find a kennel in the area where I could board my dog. Red Dog Inn is full, and I’ve heard of a couple others (The Dog House, Mardonof Kennels) but can’t seem to find websites or reviews of them. Anyone have any suggestions?

going to Australia on Wednesday for a trip of a lifetime and my beautiful golden retriever is going in kennels for 4 weeks, I know I will bawl my eyes out on Tuesday when we have to take her to the kennel, who else gets really upset and stressed about doing this.
The Kennel my dog goes in is fantastic, she is treat like a princess and rather them look after her than my family or friends as they have no idea how to care for a dog, its just hard and emotional as you all know but thanks for your answers and hey Elena Melbourne is were we are coming to as my cousins live there, can’t wait to get there.

We are thinking of cancelling our holiday next year as we are not sure if we want to leave him in the kennels as we have heard some horror stories! and my hubby won’t let us have a dog sitter in the house (booo!). Can i have your thoughts please.
We are thinking of leaving him with his breeder (who is more than happy). But our dogs mum is quite dog aggressive but the dad is not. They all live in the house, no kennel or crates (which may upset his routine as he is crate trained)

Were bringing our dog there wile we go to the beach and i just want to know if they will be nice to my dog.

We are in Valley View Texas and will pick up items from our area.

I am visiting Folly Beach, SC en route to Florida and I will have my dog with me. The vacation rental that my family has rented does not allow pets and I must find a place for my girl for three days. I have found vet clinic in the area and will use them as a last resort if necessary. I am specifically interested in indoor/outdoor type kennels but would like to know about any in the area.

i’ve never done it. the last time i went to thailand and left them with a mate. he has a nice house with a big garden. Hes now not willing to do it anymore. he said its too much work (he wanted a dog too!?!?) so im thinking now, maybe a kennel.
Not sure though. My father in law is willing to come twice a day to feed them and let them in/out but he has to drive over everyday and its annoying me a bit though.

I’m 14 years old and I love dogs. I want to get involved with helping out in dog kennels and stuff, but all the well known ones like Dogstrust only takes in volunteers aged 18 and upwards.

I dont people complaining calling them jails and such keep those opinions to yourself. We have a very large yard however are considering using a kennel this year and installing playground equiptment for the kids and maybe a swimming pool/hot tub. My question is how do you control the urine smell in the soil? My dogs stay inside during the winter and mostly outside during the summer {we live in ND so it doesnt get “hot” in the summer months trust me and on the rare occassion we have to run the AC we do bring the dogs in} that being said they have dog houses and shelter in their half of the yard but a kennel doesnt sound like such a bad idea. However a friend of mine keeps her dog in one she cleans the poo but the urine smell remains in the soil. Would it be possible to lay a thick tarp down ontop of the soil and cover it with sand? Or would their nails still puncture the tarp? Another friend of mine who has a dog that digs alot in their kennel put down chicken wire to stop the digging
so would it be best to put the tarp down, cover it with chicken wire and then lay down sand? Just brainstorming here like I said we dont kennel our dogs yet and it wouldnt be a small kennel it would run the length of what is their side of the yard right now and be about 14′ wide.

My son got a chocolate brown labrador for Xmas and he loves it very much. We are going on holiday for 10 days next month and can’t seem to decide what is best for the 7 month old dog.

The kennels we looked at seemed well run, but the caged pens looked cramped and the noise of the other dogs barking would certainly scare our young labrador. All the dogs are fed twice a day and walked in country settings. But we are worried the sudden change of setting will have a detramental effect on the young dog.

Does anyone know of a good, also not extremly expensive, dog boarding kennels in or near Clifton Park, NY. My family and i have not been happy with bording our dogs with our vet. Any suggestions?

at the end of the month i ll have to leave my dog at kennels for 3 nights so tonight we went to leave her there overnight so she can kinda get a taste of it..i know it sounds stupid but i miss her sooooo much she s like my baby and shes only 9 months,she didnt wanna stay there when i was leaving her and i cried already and keep thinking bout her……does anyone else out there love their dog sooo much

I Have bought my dog an outdoor kennel for the summer and was wondering if there are any special bowls and accesories to put in it as i am worried about the water getting warm whilst i am not in the house and my dog overheating?

I live in a very, very small place. It’s just not responsible to have a dog here. I was thinking of volunteering or something and the SunnySide Dog Kennels in Wolverhampton. Anyone know anything about it? Or volunteer in kennels? Whats it like? Do think there are any other options besides keeping one here? I’ve always had dogs but now living here it depresses me that I can’t have one.
Thanks for the answers guys, I really wish I could have a dog here, even sneakly but your not allowed. And Id have to sneak it up and down the apartment steps and make sure no one saw it. I wish I could though.

So we are planning on taking a little toy poodle puppy with us on an airplane. Not on the way there, but on the way back. Does anyone know like good brands of Kennels or Carriers to buy for a dog to be carried on to the airplane? I know it can’t be more than 10 and a half inches high and stuff… but is there anyone that has ridden with their pet in an airplane and knows what kind of carrier can be approved? I don’t want to get there and have them tell me that the carrier isn’t leak proof or something. Thanks a ton!

i am thinking on going on holiday next year as i have had 2 brain operations within a year it has left me partially disabled and need a much deserved holiday,i have no one to look after my 2 dogs due to my family having medical problems,disability problems asthma,work etc.i want to know what is the best place for my 2 dogs and how do they treat the animals do they get kept in a kennel 24/7 etc,i am stressed out as it is at what i have been through and i am having second thoughts wether i should go or not as i dont want my 2 dogs to be mistreated,stolen or lost,i have been through a lot in the last 2 years and really deserve a holiday i am lucky to be alive.please help me do whats best for my dogs.

ust a little poll i would like answered. when dogowners go on holiday etc …….would you prefer your lovely little doggy to be put in kennels for the duration of your absence or would you like them pet sitted in another home where they willl keep there regular routine etc.

i have two XL dog kennels that i need to ship to the SF bay area from calgary. They will be empty and can be dismantled to fit inside each other. All shipping methods considered. Canada post would not accept.

I live in Gandia in Spain. I need to go away in February and put my 2 dogs in kennels. The kennels I usually use is closed during this period. (San Anton). Does anyone know of any other good kennels in the area?
