Try M&S pet insurance,we switched to them & premiums were lower plus cover was better.Have fun with your puppy!

Healthy Pets. They are dirt cheap and good for sorting out claims when needed.

To get insurance is giving the intention that you expect the dog to be ill at some time, it might be nice to instead of rely on medicine and vets, to see if the dog just heals itself, whateevr came into the body, can return out, simple

HI, i work at a vets and make all the insurance claims so from experience.
    DO NOT touch E & L
Petplan are far and away the best company (and they do pay out) but they are also the most expensive. The reason is that your dog is covered for life for any illness or condition.
The smaller companies such as tesco, sainsburys, direct line, argos etc do not cover your dog for life.
They will give you depending on cover £5000? once you have reached that they will no longer pay out on that condition.
Sounds like a lot of money but with the size of your dog that would quickly go :-) Healthy pets is a good one gold level of cover gives you $7000.
But if you can afford it pet plan is the one to go with.
M&S are good and you can choose a 0 excess, but their premiums have been going up because of this.
Hope this helps and good luck with your dog

Tesco was the cheapest for me but I never made a claim, so I can’t comment on that.

Supermarkets will probably be the cheapest, maybe tesco.

Another think to think about is most vets won’t accept a claim direct to them, you still have to fork out the bill for the vet and then claim it from your insurance.

The only company my vet will accept direct is Pet Plan….sometimes cheaper isn’t always the best option.

    Goodluck

    Hi
I have both my dogs insured with Virgin. I have the top cover and i think it is very reasonably priced.
I have made a claim and Virgin paid me back with no problems and although there was a slight delay I did receive a letter to tell me that there was a delay due to high volume of claims and that i would receive my cheque shortly - which I did.
I find them to be a very friendly, helpful company with UK call centres.
I would recommend Virgin Pet Insurance.

I have found Tesco’s quite good. It costs me £20 per month for TWO dogs!

Edit– For jadelisha…It’s wise to have third party cover as well!

    Good Luck in Your Search
