How much would you pay for mobile dog grooming?

I am researching business opportunities. This is something that my area does not have and could potentially be a huge hot item.
Doesn’t matter where you are, how much would you pay for someone to bring a full service van to your house and groom your dog right there in that van in front of your house? We’re talking 45-60 minutes and your dog pops out clean, trimmed and ready to go.

I use a mobile dog groomer. We pay $40 for the whole shebang. Wash, cut, brush, dry, and nail clip. Plus, the groomer gives them a treat when he’s done. They love him.

For mobile, they will always charge more. I payed $70 for my Havanese to get groomed the first time. I am certainly not rich and can’t spend that much on my silly puppy every time her hair gets too long.
The next time I did it, I took her to a shop myself and only spent $45 on her. This was a much better deal and she looked so pretty! The third and last so far, I groomed her myself and the results couldn’t be better. I don’t recommend this to you or anyone else unless you have experience with it. You could hurt your dog and furthermore make it look like a mess, lol!
Good luck and I hope you find the right price!

Having done mobile grooming for over 12yr fulltime I can tell you they usually charge an additional fee of $15-20 as a house call fee over the average grooming prices at the shop. Some of the groom prices are higher in the van since you have to do the dog straight thru compared to putting them in a drying cage in a shop but those are the big hairy breeds like OES, chows, keeshound etc.
Though doing mobile you lose time driving, waiting on clients. big gas prices & insurance compared to shops so even though you groom a few less dogs a week compared to your work in a shop the salary is close to the same. Owning a grooming shop or mobile is not going to make you wealthy only an average income.
