Dog Food???????

dog food

i asked this question this morning but i am asking it again as i am hoping to get some better and more answers
i feed my dog Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover’s Soul dog food. and he used to like it. but in the past few weeks he has only been eating a mouthful at every meal. (he is very picky). he acts like he likes his food for about a month and then he wont eat it at all ever again. the only food he has ever liked (and i hate to say this) is Iams Mini Chunks dog food. he likes how the pieces r smaller than other dog foods. so r there any good quality foods that make their dog foods in mini chunks. he doesnt like the big ones. so any links would be helpful. i prefer brands like canidae, or chicken soup for the dog lover’s soul. i also like innova and timberwolf organics but with the kind of budget im working with they dont fit in. so can someone help me please. by the way he isnt a little dog he is a big 50 pound one. so if u could help me thanks. also another note.
he doesnt have any teeth or gum problems. his vet said his teeth r perfect
and to cheryl. i dont quite understand what ur getting at here. if ur telling me to feed my dog canned food then forget it. i dont want his teeth to rot out and besides i dont want him to get hooked to it. i need a quality food with little chunks. that is the only thing he will eat is small chunks but i refuse to feed him Iams or purina or anything like that
also. my dog isnt a small breed. he is a medium to large breed. he is part border collie and part pit bull

Artemis is a good dog food (similar to Innova — not EVO— and Canidae in quality), and the kibble is quite small if I remember correctly and my dogs went nuts over it!!! I know a couple of non-chain pet stores around me have sample bags of it. Take a look at it.

dogs seem to prefer the chunky food instead of the pate’ style - you know the can of stuff that comes out in one chunk and looks like it’s been pre-eaten—don’t buy them in bulk and feed your dog the same thing day after day- I promise you on day five he will turn up his nose and won’t eat -get several varieties and mix em up -dogs are carnivors- you can forget the organics, the veggies and the cereals- those are in there for YOU, not the dog- give him an occasional treat of something left over from the dinner table

Personally I feed my dogs Solid Gold and that’s it. If you look at the ingredients you can tell that it is a quality food. And they have many different formulas that you can try out. You can go to their website to find a pet store near you that sells it. You should be able to get samples to let your dog try before you buy any. Website is Solidgoldhealth.com

I found that Evo, made by the same company of Innova, has a small bites formula. You could give that one a try. If your dog is a small breed, you could also try Solid Gold’s Just a Wee Bit Adult formula.

Dry food is always good . You can feed your dog Royal Canin Dry Dog food. They are small little individuals.

    Royal Canin (DRY)

They are all pretty chunky when you put them into a bowl, mash them up good. You can add Raw eggs, vegetables, and chicken broth to the food to make it tatse better to your dog. These are all great foods to feed to your dog, they are chunky, you can add things to flavor it better. There are many options here.
