What part of australia are these dog breeds banned? i mean including Tasmania.
American Pits Bull Terrier
I though were banned, but Staffordshire Bull Terrier aren’t.

I see Staffordshire and Staffordshire Bull on RSPCA website.

I have heard that there is no “ban” but that dogs of certain breeds like the ones listed above must be spayed/neutered.

The Dingo, although found in Tasmania, they are banned from being owned in Australia due to the invasion of livestock. the original purpose of the dingon was for hunting and warmth on cold nights! Dingoes are supposedely responsible for the loss of medium sized mammals. They are also considered a threat to humans due to cross breeding! The history of the Dingo is not clear… I am not an expert on this species of canine by any means, but as far as i know they are banned as being pets in Australia… Try google, just look up Dingoes…I wish you the best, and I hope i helped a little bit..GOOD LUCK to you!!
