One of the most common issues with dog owners is puppy crate training. Give yourself a break if this is you because your taking some steps in the correct direction. It is something that they have to live with and the dog will grow out of it, is the way some dog owners feel about having a new puppy. I think, this is lazy behavior! If you are to take on owning a dog, then you have to educate yourself on the exact ways to care for it!

In the world today, there are plenty of ways easily accessible to you to learn how to take care of your new puppy the correct way. Right now we will try to go in the proper direction.   You might not do everything perfectly but what matters is direction not perfection. Remember when learning any new way, remaining calm is key when adding a new addition to your household.

Now, let’s get started with some basics of puppy crate training. We will start with why you should use a crate to house break your puppy.   Dogs are pack animals like wolves and in the wild use a den to raise their young. Growing up this way, compels them to feel comfortable and relaxed in a den.   When they get older they naturally choose a den to sleep at night as opposed to being exposed to predators out in the open. This can be a dug out section of a hill or underground, it will provide safety and comfort.

Keeping it’s den clean and not using it to potty in is your dogs natural instinct. When crate training our puppy we can take advantage of this behavior. If you are 1 of the people who feel awful about placing your dog in a kennel, you are in fact going with mother nature in giving a protected den.  Puppy crate training is a safe humane way to house train your puppy quickly and effectively.
