dog kennels

We are thinking of cancelling our holiday next year as we are not sure if we want to leave him in the kennels as we have heard some horror stories! and my hubby won’t let us have a dog sitter in the house (booo!). Can i have your thoughts please.
We are thinking of leaving him with his breeder (who is more than happy). But our dogs mum is quite dog aggressive but the dad is not. They all live in the house, no kennel or crates (which may upset his routine as he is crate trained)

My dog is running out lose right now with other dogs in a pack. He cried all day yesterday to go run lose, and he got lose just a while ago. My uncle said most likely theres a female dog around that’s in heat. He was telling me they’ll fight over the girl dog. Should I be worried that my dog is in danger?

We have young children, and quite a few cats (We’re a bengal cat breeder). We want a dog that can thrive with the chaos that can often be associated with life with a family. The dog would be fixed. We don’t particularly have a ton of spare time, so we don’t want a long haired dog, besides the fact I’m somewhat allergic. We don’t mind a small dog, but we DON’T want a yipper. Both my husband and I will be working, but it won’t ever be alone, it’ll always have the cats here, and two of them absolutely adore dogs, if anything, they’ll sleep with it and follow it around, play with it. Large, or small, it doesn’t really matter; but it needs to be somewhat easily trained, especially if a larger dog; we don’t have problem putting the time into it that it need to train, but it’s going to grow up with young kids, and we need it to pick up new commands with some work. It’ll be taken for walks, up to 45 mins a day, but would most likely not have a yard to run in. What dog would suit our needs?
I’ll repeat, we don’t want a yipper. Or a long haired dog. Otherwise, we’ll all for any ideas.

My german sherperd dog is already 10 months old. She is still very shy with other dogs. Even a very small size dog can chase her. If other dogs approach her aggresively, she submited immediately. I would like her to play with other dogs happily with confidence. Most dogs she met in off-leash park were very nice(not as aggressive as she thought). Please give me some tips on how to train her to be confident like a gsd should be.

dog grooming

With everything rather shoddily made in China now I can no longer find decent pair of scissors, among a host of other things. I remember when they were virtually handed from one generation to the next in perfect repair. I need good grooming shears. The Swiss ones while up to the old standard can run over 100 dollars. Has my dollar devalued to the extent that I can only afford things from slave labor world. Good Scissors, help.

dog supplies

I am getting a 4.0lbs 5.5 year old yorkie poo from the humane society. How much should I plan on spending when i need to buy, food, food dishes, a bed, collar, leash, toys, treats, poo poo bags, and any other things that ididnt think of that I’ll need to get him settled in. I plan on going to petsmart or petco for these items. Can anyone ball park what they spent on getting their new dog started? Thanks in advance!!
