where in singapore can i buy a stuff dog toy… i want the biggest i can find.

what’s the different between petsmart, petco grooming and a small salon pets grooming?
I always take my dogs to petsmart but it’s about 10miles from my house, now down the street by my house there is a pet salon and I want to got so its close by but I’m not sure they’re good.
What do you think? where are you usually take your dog….

I do own a home. My dog is half yellow lab half poodle (Labradoodle)-she is harmless and sweet! I want to take her to a camp that has made new policy on dogs. They must be insured. It is a Christian camp for kids. I am the director for one week this summer. I’ve brought my dog last year without inncident. Will I be able to get insurance to cover her on the road?

I’m thinking about getting a home dog trainer. How much does it usually cost? I know it depends and the price varies, but what does it generally cost?

I’m thinking about getting a trainer from barkbusters. Anyone heard of them? Are they successful at what they do? Also, in general, do these (dog training) lessons pay off. That is, are they even worth it/ beneficial?

Our dog just dropped his favorite rubber toy in the toilet right after someone peed in it, gross I know, can we boil it with soap and water or will it still be germy and nasty? Any other suggestions?

I’ve enrolled my dog (6 year old mixed breed) in training classes at Petsmart. I need to know which treats to bring though. They just told us to bring treats, but didn’t give any recomendations. He likes soft treats, but I’m looking for something extra special that he will want to work for. They have to be small so he can eat them quickly too. Any suggestions?

I have a 5 yr old dog and I just got a 10 month old dog. Every time I give them both a toy, the 10 month old steals all the toys. How do I get her to stop stealing toys, treats, etc from the 5 year old? I scold her, but she continues to steal.

I have rescued a couple of dogs, and would like to give them some fun dog toys. I don’t have the budget to spend on $6-$12 toys that they tear apart in 15 minutes! Any suggestions? Empty paper towel rolls? Pine cones? Sticks? Empty egg cartons? I know that if they eat ANY toy it isn’t good for them. But, what common items could I give them and not worry too much about? Thanks!

I am looking for a dog that is relatively long lived, (10-12 years), likes the outdoors, is good around children, but is also protective. I read all these descriptions of dog breeds, and either it says “not to be kept around children”, or “these dogs have no homing instinct and will run forever, so owners must always keep them on a leash.” I don’t know whether to believe them or not. Actually, protective is less important than having it not run away forever, because the most fun my dog and I can have is running around the old strip mines, down game trails or prairies, off a leash. I hate to keep him on a leash, but so many breeds either have disclaimers saying they’re bad with kids, not protective, or will run away. Is there any that is all three, and is’nt so big he will only live 8-10 years?

Is it really worth investing in dog insurance,especially if you paid alot of $$$ for your breed of dog nad considering you dont have a pet with congenital disorder or a disease

I bought a bag of dog treats and it says 6 oz value size huh? I read the back and it said something adult manitence so is the treat only for dogs cause my dog is puppy…Can i give the pupp adult treats or no? Is there different kinds of treat liek adult and puppy treats??

This dog toy is about 2 years old, it is a skunk and has a noise box inside of it that makes wierd “skunk” noises. Its really wierd, but my mom has one at her house and I have one at mine and no matter what, my dog always seems to find it! I want to get him a new one and I cannot find it anywhere! my lab has severe hip dysplaysia, and since pain med treatment hasnt worked, she will most likely need surgery. i was wondering if anyone knows of a good pet insurance that would help pay for this. thanks!!

I have a 10 month old Labrador Retreiver and he is very good at chewing.

Now before I had this dog, I had another Lab and the other dog was a good chewer, but if we gave him a toy like a Boodah Chew, it would take him a few hours to eat it all. But here is the thing, the old dog was a dog who would chew something until it was gone, but this dog will chew his toys in multiple sittings. He will eat Kong Toys with peanut butter in one sitting, but the problem is, this new dog is a genius. He knows how to open the doors of the house, he knows how to unscrew lids. Its rediculous.

So I was wondering if there is a rough dog Chew toy (Doesn’t need to be reusable) that is good to keep a Lab busy and interested.

So my terrior shnauzer mix is going in to get groomed for the first time and because it is a 3 hour visit, I’m going to be leaving her with the groomer. This makes me extremely nervous as she was an abused animal and gets very skiddish around new people. (I won’t even leave her alone with a vet!) I know I’m crazy, but she’s been through so much I don’t want to start over with her. What are some things to look for that would tell me the groomer will be okay with her and to tell me that I can trust her with my dog? I just don’t want her to be rough with her or get impatient. Please help!
Won’t the groomer get mad about checking in on her? I don’t want to make her mad and she take it out on my dog. I know I’m paranoid, but my dog means everything to me!
dogs still remember…since taking her from the man’s home she has seen him and freaks out when he comes close, especially to me. Oh and I should mention muzzles are not an option so you get a thumbs down! Muzzles are for animals who you think will bite! Shame on you!

im getting a minature poodle this weekend and wanted to know where you could buy pet clothes.
at petsmart they had some but they all were for VERY small dogs.
my mini poodle im gettng i think is a lil bigger thn a normal poodle im not sure, but in the pic they sent me he was wearing a lil shirt. i want to buy him a whole wardrobe PJ’s, formal, everyday, going out, coats.
also i tried thrift shops but they told me that they would not sell the clothes to me to use on a dog because its cruel!

also i asked the lady who has him now were she got the clothes and she said she had gotten them from walmart as a halloween costume (he was a waiter).
but i dnt want costumes! i want clothes for him!
ALSO is he a size of a mini poodle? hes 1yr old
ADD: i checked and a full grown miniature poodle weighss 15-17lbs.
so he IS a mini poodle and he also has his papers too.
a standard poodles are HUGE! haha
like 50-70lbs.
the lady told me he weighs 13lbs.

I have an over weight coon hound. I’ve tried several recipes for healthy dog snacks from the internet. He hates them all. Does anyone have a good recipe for healthy dog treats?

I have the sweetest 9 month old Rottweiler. My only comlpaint about him is that any toy he is given is destroyed within an hour. He’s gone through many stuffed animals human and doggy (with supervision of course).He is able to shred rope toys. He had a red Kong and cracked the rubber in half, and he cant fit his mouth on the stronger black kong. Anyone know of a great indestructable dog toy? He is crate trained and is in his crate for about 4 hours a day and I can’t leave him with any toys because I am too scared about what he will ingest well I am gone.
At least its not the furniture!

ust a little poll i would like answered. when dogowners go on holiday etc …….would you prefer your lovely little doggy to be put in kennels for the duration of your absence or would you like them pet sitted in another home where they willl keep there regular routine etc.

i have two XL dog kennels that i need to ship to the SF bay area from calgary. They will be empty and can be dismantled to fit inside each other. All shipping methods considered. Canada post would not accept.

First off, let me say, I generally think it’s dumb to put dog clothes on your dog… but… some breeds need them in the colder weather. With that being said, how long does it usually take a dog to get used to wearing them? My 12 week old Yorkie puppy had to be shaved yesterday due to her fur being matted, (she looks crazy! she looks like she had a ‘big-head’ cheat put on her from a video game… they left the hair on her head and face!) Anyways, she shivers in the morning when she goes outside so much that she won’t go to the bathroom in her usual amount of time. She waits for the warm house, which is not going to be allowed, so I have to keep her warm outside but when I put something on her she just stops moving. Should I keep her in a shirt all day to get her use to it? How long before I say enough is enough and I can stop tortuing her?
